Tropical Helmet
Exposed to the sun in new ares and there was a need for protection of the head. Between 1920 and 1940 there were various models occurs but the material plastic or cork never works as expected. Problems with ventilations were never solved either and it became never a populair headgear. The pith helmet was introduced during the war for wear with the Brown tropical uniform. (see pic) In 1937/38 was a new model introduced in white plastic material and in 39/40 comes another i Cork and sewed together in six sections and the brim has seems at either side For ventilation purpose there was two to four semicircular ventilation holes. Inside whas a green or red fabric. On the left side was a eagle shield and at the right the national shield in black, red and white
