Swedish steamer Scania 1629 tons

On the tradional day of Lucia was Scania was sunk by U176 in the afternoon.
The ship was stopped and investigated by the German crue. Cargo was salted hides and wool and the shipp has to been sunk.
Six scuttling charges was the prize they have to pay and abandon ship. After 60 hours in Life boots they were resqued by the Swedich motor merchant Nordstjernan.
Probably a Lucia day that they remember for their hole life
